Due to organic growth and the desire and commitment to build out an experienced and admirable team, they are looking for a Senior Leader to drive the delivery of new projects nationwide and cultivate relationships with key clients. This comes with an opportunity to transition into a Development Manager's role in the future.
The Role
The key responsibilities in this role may include but not be limited to the following:
- Monitor performance of existing developments
- Management of planning, design and consenting processes
- Assist the Directors and established team with managing the construction phase of all development projects
- Assist in developing project plans and specifications for future development projects
- Be involved in management and selection of project teams of consultants and contractors
- Fostering new and existing key relationships, ensuring teams meet development objectives, while keeping projects on time, and within budget
- Lead the preparation of tenders and proposals for potential projects
- Help to produce high quality projects that benefit the company's business operations
In order to be successful in this role, you will likely have the following skills and attributes:
- A relevant tertiary qualification - Civil Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management
- 7-10+ years’ experience within construction project management, preferably with a focus on large format developments
- Ideally Client side or large civil/commercial contractor background
- Competent in negotiation and client relationship management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a knowledge of delivering projects and managing risk
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise deadlines
- A hands on, solution focus to projects and troubleshooting
- Strong verbal and written communication
