How did you get into recruitment?
A former fellow student who had been working for an international recruitment agency approached me. That company at the time was just beginning to establish itself in the German market, and it was the ideal start for me after finishing my studies. The diverse nature of the role, the dynamic and international environment as well as the career development opportunities were what really persuaded me.
Which aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?
Facing new challenges every day, because no two days are the same. I relish the contact with companies and applicants; that can be very enriching.
Is there an element of your role that you find the most challenging
Detecting the right company for the applicant and successfully joining them without being knocked out of my stride by the bumps in the road.
What do you like most about working at Cobalt Recruitment?
My team, the open and honest corporate culture, as well as the high amount of self dependent agency.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in recruitment?
Recruitment is a long-term task that is a lot of fun, if you succeed in forging and nurturing sustainable client relationships. This requires tenacity, strength of purpose, endurance, empathy and a strong affinity for sales.
