Cobalt’s Engineering division has a team of highly knowledgeable consultants, who recruit from graduate level through to senior level. We are an international agency with a strong track record of finding the best professionals for various engineering and technical-based roles across New Zealand. The built environment is always evolving so we make sure engineering firms have the professionals needed to keep pace with the demands of the industry.
Civil Technician Professional

We place civil technicians into multi-disciplinary consultancies and engineering firms. Civil technicians are employed to help provide seamless project delivery on roads, buildings and other areas in the built environment. Our clients are interested in professionals who can use Civil 3D and 12D modelling software, as well as having land development or large infrastructure experience. We have supported civil technicians who have worked their way from graduate level up to senior level, with many going on to becoming dedicated engineers.

Geotechnical Engineer Professional

Cobalt’s clients in the Geotechnical space define, quantify, analyse and predict the behaviour of what lies beneath the surface on a range of projects across the property, transport/infrastructure and development sectors. Our clients are always looking for experienced Engineers who have a passion for Ground Engineering and are looking for the next step in their career. If you have a Bachelor of Engineering, and are a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or at least keen to become one, there is a high chance one of our clients would be interested in meeting you. Typical roles include but are not exclusive to Geotechnical Engineer, Senior Geotechnical Engineer, Team Leader, Technical Director, Project Director, and Director. If you are a Geotechnical Engineer of any level of experience, contact us today to see how we can add value to your career.

Structural Technician Professional

Structural technicians are typically placed into structural engineering consultancies or multi-disciplinary engineering companies. Structural Technician roles tend to be at graduate, intermediate and senior level. Our clients are interested in someone who has a high level of detailing experience across a range of materials such as timber, steel and concrete structures. Also, Revit experience and a background in AutoCAD are useful. In addition, many of our clients prefer candidates with New Zealand experience. The role does require a high level of skill and experience.
