Estates Services Officer

A new opportunity has arose at a Housing Association based in North London.

You will assist in the delivery a first-class estate service through effective management of the caretaking, grounds maintenance, refuse contractors, estate cleaning, playground inspections and other estates services contracts to ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with contract specifications.

Remuneration: £24-26,000 plus car allowance and benefits

Location: North London & Enfield

Job Role

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections as part of the independent monitoring regime for estates services.
  • Post inspections of repairs across all maintenance functions identifying quality of work and cost accuracy.
  • Periodic compliance checks including fire alarms, emergency lights, water temperature checking and audit of on-site records from contractors.
  • Undertake all Estate inspections to check the general condition highlight and take action on any potential building management or Health and Safety issues.
  • Record and report on the performance of contractors.
  • Investigate service complaints and write responses in line with corporate formats and timescales.

Candidate Requirements

  • Good standard of education commensurate to the role with excellent written and oral communications skills to write detailed reports, letters and emails.
  • Excellent customer focus and a genuine desire to achieve excellence.
  • Experience of working in a building trade role or have extensive relevant experience.
  • Undertaking estate inspections and compliance checks to provide a high level of scrutiny on contractors.
  • Up to date knowledge of Health & Safety and other legislation relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of contract management.
  • Understanding of building construction and maintenance related contracts.
