Development Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Development Surveyor to join a busy, regional investor developer client. Working as part of dedicated development team, your role will be to:

• Assist in the lead of projects through the full development cycle from inception through to practical completion/ sale
• Liaise with landowners, agents, local authorities to identify suitable sites and opportunities for development
• Assist with the assessment of future opportunities and oversee acquisition appraisals and feasibility studies
• Co-ordinate the appointment of advisers and consultants as required to support the development
• Ensure effective working arrangements within the development team and particularly with other development partners
• Undertake due diligence on development opportunities including more detailed site investigations, title reviews, demand studies etc.
• Work with the design team and contractor to support the planning application process where relevant, ensuring effective liaison with key stakeholders and that all relevant consents are secured, all planning obligations discharged
• Identify and provide all necessary technical information, working with finance colleagues to secure the funding process for developments
• Identify and develop networks across the property industry which provide opportunities to promote the business and identify development opportunities

The appointed candidate must be able to demonstrate a background in development, whether gained in consultancy or a similar client led role. You must have a thorough understanding of the planning system and acquisition process.
