Client Finance Administrator - Temporary

My client is a leading property consultancy who is looking for a temporary client finance administrator to join their asset services team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be required to carry out the full range of financial administrative accounting functions relating to the property portfolio of clients.

Core Responsibilities;

  • Assistance in the bank reconciliation clear down process
  • Reviewing of finance amendments to tenant accounts as a result of data entry forms (DEFs)
  • Submitting payment to clients
  • Manage supplier set-up processes
  • Posting of miscellaneous cash
  • General clerical and administrative tasks as required including accurate filing
  • Ensuring client requirements and the companies quality procedures are followed and escalating any issues as appropriate
  • Collection of post in & out for the Finance team
  • Scan invoices to the relevant mailboxes to our outsourced provider
  • Scanning of cheques for processing
  • Bank cheques after processing has been completed
  • Assistance with managing the Finance Transaction team mailboxes
  • Accountable for managing the client lists to ensure client information is accurate and updated daily
  • Printing of remittances
  • Obtain copy vouchers and posting client statements
  • Printing and posting of Tenant Demands
  • Co-ordination of payment for third party auditor invoices
  • Provide assistance to the Transactions & Credit Control Manager / Client Finance Manager as required

Requirements;

  • Familiarity of basic accounting concepts (double entry)
  • Specific knowledge of property accounting would be advantageous
  • IT literate - intermediate/ advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Emphasis on quality and accuracy (attention to detail)
  • An appreciation of controls and processes
  • Places a priority on continuous improvement and developing own knowledge and skills
