Our client is a very highly regarded infrastructure private equity group with a strong presence in the Asia region.  With lots of capital, they have developed an impressive portfolio of assets and as they continue to invest, there is a need to bring on board a Vice President to lead on their investments within the energy and power market.

This is an exciting opportunity for either a senior energy investment banking or private equity professional to join a leading infrastructure fund with significant capital where you have the chance to invest heavily in Greater China and wider Asia.

The Vice President will;

  • Take the lead on originating and executing energy and power investments in Greater China and wider Asia.
  • Regularly network, interact and meet with investment banks, advisors, infrastructure developers and other funds to generate investment opportunities.
  • Take full responsibility for the execution of energy related deals, overseeing the financial analysis, valuation and leading on presenting the opportunities to the Investment Committee.
  • Oversee the portfolio management, regularly meeting with senior management of the assets and working with them to develop and implement growth and development strategies.
  • Have the opportunity to regularly invest and close deals, building an impressive deal track record.

Interested candidate must;

  • Be currently sitting in a Vice President or equivalent position within the energy or infrastructure team of an investment bank, private equity group or M&A position in a developer.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the energy market with a strong track record in Asia having led on origination and execution of deals.
  • Possess a very strong and all round skill set with ability to build financial models from scratch and lead on due diligence.
  • Have strong communication skills and ideally be fluent in Mandarin due to the role regularly interacting with senior management of assets in China.
