Conducting Officer AIFM / Risk Manager (m/f/d)

Our client is an international real estate company that has been investing in commercial real estate for over 25 years. Especially due to its real estate portfolios, which are characterized by prestigious properties and trophy buildings in Europe and North America. The Group currently manages real estate assets of around EUR 14 billion worldwide.

As part of its growth initiative, our client established offices in Luxembourg and recently obtained the license as Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM), enabling the group to initiate and manage regulated real estate investment funds.
For this strongly growing business in Luxembourg, we are looking for a full-time Conducting Officer AIFM / Risk Manager (m/f/d)


▪ Establish and implement an AIFMD-compliant and effective risk management framework
▪ Ensure the efficiency of the risk management system on fund and AIFM level
▪ Ensure the adequacy of the risk-related reportings (Board of Directors of the AIFM, CSSF, investor)
▪ Be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the fund’s compliance in relation to (i) investment strategy and restrictions, (ii) fund return profile and (iii) regulatory and legal requirements
▪ Establish and periodically review the risk profile of new/existing funds
▪ Review and validate the disclosures in the fund’s documentation (offering memorandum, annual reports, etc.) in relation to risk management
▪ Conduct regular monitoring of NAV results and fund accounting reports
▪ Be responsible for the performance of the periodic external valuations for the fund assets
▪ Contribute to the development and improvement of existing risk monitoring, valuation and reporting tools and processes
▪ Review and assess the work done by external service providers (e.g., fund administration, depositary)
▪ Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented, periodically reviewed and are working efficiently
▪ Drive risk management related projects and developments (internally and on group level)


▪ At least 5 – 7 years of relevant experience within the alternative fund industry (e.g., fund management, fund administration)
▪ Extensive knowledge of the day-to-day activities as well as the value chain of an AIFM, its functions and related service providers
▪ Deep knowledge in local and supranational regulatory requirements (i.e., CSSF circulars, AIFMD). Significant experience with SIF/RAIF structures will be considered an asset
▪ High degree of motivation and flexibility, self-driven and quality-focused
▪ Excellent self-organization, ability to work in an autonomous environment
▪ Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving attitude
▪ Fluent written and spoken communication skills in German and English are considered a must
▪ Excellent team player
▪ Good knowledge of the MS Office suite, especially in MS-Excel
