Chief Investment Officer - Asset Management

Our client is a very strong and wealthy family office who have developed their specialism within the international real estate industry.  As they continue to grow, they want to diversify the business interests and are in the process of establishing an asset management business. The new fund will be based out of Singapore and the family will provide a significant amount of capital tor the new team to deploy across various asset classes and geographical markets.

In order to establish the fund, they urgently require a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) or Head of Asset Management to join and lead on developing and implementing the investment strategy as well as building out the investment team and business.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a CIO or Head of Asset Management to lead on establishing a new asset management business from scratch with the strong financial backing and support of one of the wealthiest families in the region.

The CIO will;

• Work with the Chairman to develop and implement the business plan and to build the fund from scratch.
• Lead on developing the investment strategy including deciding which asset classes and geographies to invest in to.
• Be responsible for building the investment team and support functions as well as overseeing the investment process.
• Regularly interact with investors to market the fund and raise capital from external funds as well as originate new investment opportunities.
• Take full responsibility for the fund including the growth and performance, providing strong returns for the stakeholders.

Interested candidates must;

• Be currently sitting in either a Chief Investment Officer or Head of Asset Management role either within an established financial institution or family office.
• Possess extensive experience in developing and implementing investment strategies.
• Demonstrate a strong track record investing across numerous asset classes and geographical markets having managed large portfolios.
• Ideally have previously worked for a family office or been involved in developing an asset management business from scratch.
• Come with an exceptionally strong technical and analytical skill set with ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management.
• Be currently based in Singapore.
