Position: Associate Director - Energy
Location: Central London
Salary: 70,000 - 80,000 per annum plus flexible benefits, pension, healthcare, profit share etc
A leading Engineering and Management Consultancy is seeking to appoint an Associate Director to their business. This role is specific to the Energy sector covering most facets of the market including renewable, transmission, nuclear and gas.
Joining an established and growing Programme and Project Management practice, you will be responsible for leading the winning and delivery of management consultancy commissions within the Energy sector. This will involve expanding the brand and service within existing clients and winning new business with completely new clients. Our client anticipates that the successfully appointed Associate Director will be able to actively identify and create opportunities independently.
A strong feature of the role will be for you to create trusting client relationships enabling you to grow and develop your business. You will be responsible, in time, for recruiting the additional staff required to grow your team and for providing the business leadership.

Key responsibilities:
-Project, programme or portfolio management of complex schemes, especially during their development phase.
-Delivery in the energy sector of complex and challenging projects from a professional programme & project management (client facing) perspective to time, cost and quality objectives.
-Winning work for yourself and your team, and delivering a high value programme or portfolio management service to the client (or demonstrable transferable skills and experience).
-Creating business proposals to pitch to clients, by drawing together the relevant technical expertise from across a multi-disciplinary firm.
-Commercial awareness of a client's business drivers and the business case for change programmes.
-Reporting to and at project boards.
-Working as part of multi-company partnerships is desirable.
-Financial and Risk management
To be successful in this role it is anticipated that you:
-Hold a degree in an engineering or science discipline or possess suitable experience in lieu of qualification.
-Hold a professional qualification in project management, such as the APM Registered Project Professional.
-Have extensive and demonstrable industry experience gained working in an energy sector client/developer organisation or Management Consultancy
-Be a highly skilled communicator and influencer
-Be prepared to travel and work from Client offices across the UK and, on occasion, internationally
