Senior Commercial lawyer

This is a unique opportunity to join the senior ranks of this well-established firm that has a wealth of knowledge and longstanding clients - a mix of high net worth individuals, smaller and larger corporate clients. There would be varied work, the team is collaborative and there are senior partners in the commercial team that are succession planning for the future and therefore a transferable client base is not required (although a bonus).

In this role you'll work across M&A transactions, partnership arrangements, small-medium sized business transactions, commercial leasing, joint ventures, general commercial contract negotiations and advise work as well as assist businesses through stages of growth and restructuring.

About you:

• 8+ years solid experience in the corporate / commercial law area within a reputable practice (property experience may form part of your overall background too);

• An interest in progressing into partnership in the forseeable future;

• Good interpersonal skills and relationship management skills;

• Business development capabilities and the ability to assist in mentoring juniors; and

• Experience gained within an reputable practice.
