The client:
Our client is a well-regarded city law firm known for its fantastic client service and specialist legal services. The partners and solicitors offer services to commercial clients, investors, developers and high-net-worth individuals. The environment is conducive to career development, mentoring juniors and getting early exposure to complex deals and matters. In this role, you'll get client contact from day 1 and have a variety of work across general commercial, property and private client work with a commercial property focus.
The role:
The role reports into two partners and offers a mix of commercial, commercial property and private client work for long-standing clients, as well as working with a couple of other lawyers in a close-knit team environment. The work will include commercial property developments, sale and purchase of buildings, leasing, conveyancing, trusts, financing and corporate structuring work amongst other related matters. Although the role is a mix of work, the emphasis is on commercial property and property deal side and would suit someone interested in developing a career within this area.
The candidate:
- 1-3 years PQE with experience gained with reputable boutique, mid-sized or top tier firm;
- Good academic record - a strong B average or LLB(Hons) is needed;
- Experience in some transactional property work and any development experience would be highly regarded.
You must be able to hold a current NZ practising certificate with NZ based private practice legal experience to be considered for the role as this is not a graduate role.
