A large privately owned New Zealand property company, with development interests across the residential and commercial sectors, is looking for a Project Lead in Christchurch to run a unique adaptive re-use scheme.

The development is going to re-imagine a series of historic buildings into a vibrant complex, housing a range of small business, creative enterprise, hospitality operators, health and wellness initiatives and a farmer's market.

The tenant mix will be curated organically which is a critical component of the Project Lead role. The developer is very keen that bespoke spaces are developed in partnership with tenants rather than pre-determining the floor space and leasing it without much flexibility. This build up of space to suit tenants is a key element of the Developers vision for what they hope becomes a highly valued community hub and an attractive destination to travel too.

This role is a hybrid of leasing, tenant coordination and project management.

It requires someone who is energetic, entrepreneurial, strong on relationship development and who has a keen interest in urban revitalisation projects of this type.

Successful candidates are likely to come from commercial property sales & leasing, asset management, tenant representation, development management or project management.

The owner of this development has a real passion and energy for this asset and is looking for someone who can share in that vision and help realise it.

You would ideally have 8+ years professional experience and must either be based in Christchurch or have networks in Christchurch.

Remuneration package is flexible to suit the individual and will be made up of base salary + incentive scheme.

This role is something a bit different, it is going to need creativity, tenacity, and drive to achieve the desired development outcomes.
