We have a rare and unique newly created position for someone with a legal background (ideally with some practising experience) to use their skills in a different and varied way. You'll be a key player as part of a small-medium sized legal team to ensure the effective operations and co-ordination of staff, assisting with leadership and management functions of the firm. If you're based in Central, South or East Auckland then this could be a perfect opportunity to make a move closer to home and take your skills into a new environment.
The role will involve:
- Operations management - keeping the team on track with internal and external deadlines (e.g. for hearings), organising schedules and workflows within the team as well as updating precedent documents when necessary to ensure the team runs efficiently
- HR - putting together employment contracts, assisting with induction and onboarding of new staff, performance reviews and any HR-related issues
- Administration - ability to navigate your way around document management systems, with decent typing and administrative capabilities (e.g. for formatting documents)
- Communications - being able to update the website when needed, social media and other communication channels for internal and external purposes
Our client is looking for someone that is professional, with leadership skills, organised, adaptable and proactive.
This role may suit a working parent that is looking for a role that keeps them in the legal industry but is keen to work in an operationally focused role without billing targets; likewise, it might suit someone that has an interest in HR and/or management and has some previous experience in this context outside of the law.
If this role has piqued your interest click "APPLY" or get in touch by for a confidential discussion by contacting Harrison De Iongh on 027 274 5926.
