Our client has a well-established litigation team and construction/infrastructure practice. They are interested in considering 3+ year (or senior level) litigators with a solid litigation background - whether in civil, commercial and/or construction litigation.
If you're someone who enjoys a varied role, where you can be immersed from start to finish on complex litigated claims and help resolve issues that arise from e.g. project delays then this could be the role for you. You'll be able to be involved in High Court litigation matters, adjudications, arbitrations and complex trials as part of this role working across two partners. There is a collegial team with juniors and seniors and you'll work with the commercial team from to time too.
- 3+ years PQE in litigation (ideally with some exposure to construction issues but this isn't a must);
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to cut through issues and problem solve;
- A good academic record (a B average or higher in LLB); and
- Experience gained in a reputable firm - whether large or small.
Perhaps you're in a firm doing a specific area such as earthquake litigation and would like to use your civil litigation experience in a more dynamic area. Likewise, you might be keen to step into a high performing team where you can challenge yourself and be mentored to develop your advocacy skills. Whichever the case, get in touch, to discuss this opportunity further.
NZ qualified lawyers with relevant experience returning from overseas will be of interest too.
