If you are a Litigation Lawyer based in Tauranga or looking to move to the region for lifestyle purposes, this is an attractive opportunity to consider. Working with a high-performing partner at a reputable law firm, you will be exposed to a varied mix of commercial and civil disputes including property, contracts, employment, professional misconduct and trust matters. You will be advocating for clients, appearing in court and advising on a variety of regulatory matters. Mentorship by the partner is provided in this role, but you will also have the ability to take the lead on cases and interact directly with clients, as well as play a lead role in court appearances. The litigation practice is busy so you will have work ready for you when you start.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- 5+ years PQE in commercial and/or civil litigation (a solid background in a general litigation practice will be considered);
- Have an interest in advancing your career in a diverse litigation practice;
- Good academics (B average or higher in your LLB);
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a firm that provides exposure to high-quality work and to be part of a firm with a strong reputation in the market.
If you're originally from the Bay of Plenty, this could be the right time to consider a return back to the region.
