This role provides the chance to be involved in files from end to end and take on greater responsibility for more complex matters as you progress. Working closely with the partners, the work will involve contentious insurance matters such as statutory liability, professional indemnity, construction and building claims, infrastructure-related claims, advising on subrogated recoveries, and investigations.
Ideally, you will have:
- 3+ years litigation experience gained in a well-regarded practice or within an insurance company - some experience in insurance litigation is required and experience with property, construction and building disputes will be advantageous;
- A team player that enjoys collaborating with others; and
- An analytical mind with good drafting skills and client relationship management capabilities.
- Based in Auckland or Wellington.
Perhaps you are currently working in-house at an insurance company and have been thinking about a move back to private practice to build on your technical legal skills? Likewise, you might be keen to move into a specialist insurance team that has a good work-life/balance but also high-quality work. NZ Qualified lawyers looking to return from overseas are also of interest.
