Our client is a longstanding general practice law firm with consistent and steady workflows that ensure you continue to learn and grow. They are now looking to hire an intermediate or mid-senior level Solicitor to work across property & conveyancing (dealing with transactions end-to-end), assisting small to medium-sized commercial businesses with sale & purchase transactions, commercial leasing and franchising and immigration matters (new Visa applications, variations and appeals). Immigration work will make up a decent portion of the overall workload so prior experience in this area is a must (likely 1/3-1/2).

This is a role where you will be mentored by partners who have a wealth of knowledge but will allow you to take ownership of files, work with initiative and some autonomy. So if you enjoy learning on the job and have a go-getter attitude then this is a good opportunity for you.

About you:

  • An intermediate level lawyer with 2+ years PQE.
  • Must have some immigration law experience. Some property and/or commercial law experience is preferred but there is scope for learning being trained in these areas.
  • Good client relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • NZ qualified lawyer.

Maybe you've been doing immigration law keen to expand into more generalist areas such as property and commercial law. Or, you're currently at a general practice firm and are looking for career advancement at a firm with the right support structures in place. Get in touch to find out more!
