Working with an expert corporate partner with strong commercial acumen, you will be able to receive strong one on one partner mentoring. Our client is a trusted advisor to start up, medium sized and larger national/international businesses, helping them achieve their strategic objectives including investment and expansion. Their clients span a diverse range of industry sectors and the firm benefits from a flatter structure with partners that have come from the larger firms.
The firm has a modern working culture and offices, flexibility and a culture conducive to ongoing training and development, encouraging business development and personal growth. There is definitely room for quick career progression if you show aptitude and there is a good steady stream of work.
The work will involve a good mix of corporate transactional and general commercial law work, including:
mergers and acquisitions
acting for start-up and growing businesses
drafting and negotiating commercial agreements e.g. supply and distribution agreements
Our client is open to considering a junior (not a newly qualified lawyer - must have some experience), intermediate or senior lawyer for this team. For them, it will be more about your relevant experience, drive to succeed and fit within the team.
Perhaps you're wanting to move from a large firm to a flatter structured boutique firm with a modern working environment and where you are truly valued for your efforts, or you may be looking to step up your skills in the commercial transactional work you do, coming from a mixed corporate and commercial property background. Whichever the case, we'd like to hear from you.
NZ qualified lawyers looking to return from Australia or the UK are encouraged to apply also.
There is a good incentive scheme in place for their lawyers that perform well.
