Commercial Lawyer | Melbourne

We are working with a highly regarded specialist commercial law practice in Melbourne that has been set up by ex top tier partners, with a strong brand and reputation for its work in Australia. Based in Melbourne, you'd work closely with an award winning partner and Senior Associate along with others in the wider team on corporate transactions (share, asset and business transactions), corporate advisory matters, shareholding arrangements, partnership agreements, management buyouts, corporate restructuring and general commercial contracting.

The team has a high performing, yet collaborative and supportive working culture. They pride themselves on their modern way of operating and there is plenty of variety so no two days will be the same. The firm has had success with NZ lawyers previously and as the firm's work continues to grow (despite the pandemic), they are looking to further grow the team which is how this need has come about. They also practice across other related areas such as tax and property law.

To be successful you will need:

• 3-7 years experience in a corporate / commercial lawyer role within a well-regarded NZ practice;
• A desire to work hard and be challenged;
• Keen to get good end to end involvement in transactions and matters you work on; and
• A solid academic background (a B average or better).
