Commercial & Property Lawyer | Christchurch

Our client, a medium-sized city law firm, is looking for an intermediate Commercial & Property Lawyer to join their team. This law firm has a solid reputation in the market for its ability to handle complex legal matters and facilitate commercial & property transactions for corporates, international investors and individuals.

You would work directly with respected partners on a wide range of commercial matters, both transactional and advisory, which includes drafting agreements for the sale & purchase of businesses, providing regulatory advice and structuring companies to facilitate business transactions. With respect to property transactions, you would facilitate sale & purchase of commercial buildings, work on developments, projects and subdivision instructions. This is by no means an exhaustive list of the areas you will be exposed to. You will have as much autonomy as you like whilst receiving guidance from experienced partners when required.

• 2+ years PQE in commercial and property law (candidates with a background in either of these areas would still be considered);
• Decent grades in your law degree;
• Commercially minded and interested in transactional work; and
• Good communication skills.
