Banking & Finance Lawyer

Role 1

2-4 year level

Working under the supervision of a high performing partner that is busy but will make the time to mentor you to develop your transactional and advisory skills. They're a trusted advisor to major financial institutions and advising on capital market arrangements, securitisation and financial markets regulation. Some exposure to working on securitisation is required.

Role 2

4-8 year level

Working with two expert banking and finance partners on a range of banking of and finance transactions with acquisition finance, leveraged finance and corporate finance being a few of the core areas. The team is fun, social and have a collegial work environment. There are good advancement prospects for the person going into this role. This position has come about due to growth in work. For this position, you may be working in a corporate or banking and/or finance team and keen to specialise in these areas.

About you:

• 2+ years PQE;
• Good academics (B average or higher in your LLB);
• Admittance to the bar and ability to hold a NZ practising certificate;
• Experience gained within a top law firm or within a the in-house legal team of a financial services organisation. NZ based experience is preferred.
