The North West market is extremely busy at present and we are working with our clients across Manchester and the wider region to assist in the hiring of Environmental Planners.
Our clients are seeking experienced Planners who are able to utilise their environmental and planning skill-sets to assist with a wide array of projects across the UK including Power Stations, Commercial Parks, Solar Farms and Regeneration Schemes.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Managing Environmental Impact Assessments
- Undertaking site visits
- Preparing socio-economic and health impact assessments, EIA Screening and Scoping reports, Strategic Environmental Assessments, etc.
The ideal Environmental Planners will have gained a solid understanding of environmental and socio-economic issues, possess excellent written and oral communication skills and experience of undertaking EIA's. A strong academic background in a relevant discipline is required and IEMA membership will be hugely beneficial as our clients are quality marked by IEMA.
The Environmental Planners will play a key role within the businesses assisting in the delivery of complex and highly scrutinised documents. The salary is dependent upon experience but includes an excellent base salary plus benefits such as car allowance and discretionary bonus.
