Project Manager - R & D Labs / Data Centre's

We are currently recruiting for one of the most innovative, exciting and expanding global project construction management firms, with offices in London and across America. They are seeking a talented and motivated individual who is an experienced Project Manager with the ability and knowledge to successfully deliver a project through the full life cycle. There will be opportunities to work on international projects focusing on complex schemes within research & development and mission critical data centres in addition to high-tech commercial and Arts & Culture projects. Their business covers Cost Design and project management and are currently expanding their London office.

Remuneration

£65k - £70k depending on qualifications and experience.
Benefits Inc: Healthcare, Pension Scheme and Travel Allowance.

Job Role

You should be confident and comfortable in a client facing environment, a problem solver and be able to think out of the box

  • Attend and chair client, design, project, site and other meetings as agreed. Issue minutes for each meeting chaired.
  • Seek approval and issue instructions on behalf of the client, to the professional technical and design teams and contractors as required and in accordance with their terms of their appointments.
  • Project reporting and recording procedures with the client, professional team and contractors.
  • Development of all project specific documents.
  • Monitor the performance of both the professional technical and design teams and contractors, reporting to the client.
  • Liaise with the professional team and report on quality, cost and programme.

Candidate Requirements

  • Construction-related degree and/or membership of a recognised body such as APM / MCIOB / RICS
  • Experience in delivering R & D Lab fit-out schemes and/or Data Centre Projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of contributing to the identification, preparation or bids and tenders.
  • Proficient IT skills and experience in using PM tools including MPS/P6
